Living Rivers ScreenSaver 2.0

If you find images or rivers relaxing, or interesting, or enjoyable, and if you would like to see enchanting views of rivers on your monitor every time your computer goes idle, then you need to get the Living Rivers Screensaver, a free Windows screensaver offered by free-slidshow.com.

The main thing you need to know about this application is that it is a slideshow screensaver. If you don’t know what that means, let me break it down for you: slideshow screensavers display an image for a bit, then use a transition effect to move to another image, display that image for a bit, then use a transition effect to move to another image.

By default Living Rivers Screensaver displays images for 3 seconds, then uses a transition effect to move on to another image. All the images are of rivers. From the Settings menu you can do the following:

- Specify for how long an image will be displayed before the screensaver moves on to the next image. You don’t have to stick with the 3-second default. You can choose one of several preset values, like 10 seconds, 1 minute, or 5 minutes.
- Select which transition effect you would like the screensaver to use, assuming you have a favorite one of course, or choose if you want the screensaver to “Cycle through all effects”.
- Adjust the speed of the transition effects.
- Select the background color.
- Check the “Put wallpaper on desktop” option and one of the screensaver’s images will be turned into your wallpaper.

Download – the download weighs in at 3.4MB, which isn’t quite lightweight. It will take very little time for the download to complete, even if you are on a less than spectacular internet connection.
Supported OS – at the time of writing this and according to the developer, the screensaver provides support for Windows 9x, NT, Me, 2000, XP, Vista, and Windows 7.
Limitations – there are none, you can use the screensaver free of charge for as long as you want.
